Angell '10' – Top 10

Good Invite, 2006
In celebrating its tenth year, Angell Gallery is pleased to present its final special exhibition commemorating this landmark anniversary. Angell ‘10’: Top 10 is a group show marking the achievements of the gallery and its artists while offering a preview of what is to come in the future. The exhibition runs from November 24 - December 23, 2006, and an opening reception will be held on Friday, November 24 from 6pm to 9pm. The exhibition consists of the Toronto premiere of 10 exciting new works by 10 gallery artists, serving as a cumulative celebration of the gallery’s history and a taste of future projects. Each work in the exhibition is either specially commissioned for this occasion or a preview of our 2007 programming. The dominant theme is one of progress, where the exhibition highlights the gallery’s expansion and increased international exposure as well as the growing careers of our artists, both at home and away. As follows is a list of participating artists: Kim Dorland, Jakub Dolejs, Jason Gringler, Bradley Harms, Kineko Ivic, Kristine Moran, Luke Painter, Geoffrey Pugen, Nick and Sheila Pye, and Tim Roda. Angell Gallery has had its most successful year yet, and along with its artists continues to expand its reputation not only in Toronto, but internationally. We have showcased our artists at art fairs in London, New York and Miami this year, and continue to plan more international adventures for the future. This year alone, Angell Gallery artists have exhibited in countless US cities as well as in Europe in solo and group exhibitions, film festivals and art foundations. We began our tenth anniversary with a look at our past accomplishments with the retro exhibition, and now we close this year with a celebration of things to come.
